Billy Hiebert Music Report problems to: |
One of several brass horns from the early 60's. Most were simple long horns with trumpet type mouth pieces. This pod shaped horn had only a small opening at the end where a bell shape would normally be. The sound was mellow and very quiet. One horn was made of steel and was over 15 feet long. I gave it to a local foundry in Berkeley and they used it to announce that they were about to pour hot metal. That foundry is long gone and so is the horn.
